the rollercoaster vibe

It’s weird to have been here a year now and start repeating all the same activities. I haven’t lived in the same place (at least house) long enough to repeat a year of cycles for a very long time, so this feels a little new. Even my time in Provo felt extremely different every year, with new classes new apartment new roommates new agenda. To be in my same funny little house in my same Dongducheon-si with my same (well mostly same, some have moved on by now) lovely friends on repeat is kind of mind blowing to me. The weird thing is celebrating ANOTHER birthday in Korea, or run in the Goyang 5k AGAIN or restart classes from Lesson 1 for another round. The first year in Korea everything was really new and intriguing and now it’s just like, MY HOME. Still love it, but it’s not some crazy novelty, it’s just where I live, and now the crazy is MY LIFE. It’s nice to love where you live.
